Brent, Matt, Thomas, Sensai, & Myself started under the bridge near basecamp.
And followed the water flowing underfoot.
There were a few large/sketchy falls to navigate.
The beauty was abundant.
Matt is a beef cake...and ready for any challenge.
Scariest part was crossing under this tunnel. The water came up to our nippies under there :)
Epic Conan pose.
Tread lightly my boy.
Go...that way?
We have arrived.
Successful journey!
One afternoon, all of us volunteers decided to forge a river running through camp. After a few hours we popped out at the waterfall by Matt & Erica's treeehouse known as Mis Ojos. It was stunning to get a new perspective on this beautiful natural feature. It was also cool to feel the power of the raging river and reach a new level of respect for it. And this respect and caution is necessary as this river can rise 10 feet in 10 minutes during a rain forest downpour.
