Waiting for bus to take us a few hours north to a small beach town called Uvita. Drank 3 too many Pilsens on this bench. Guy had to use his yoga mind powers to overcome his urge to wizz. I however, am far interior....(enter frantic Spanish, begging the bus driver to pull over).
Home-made Swedish Choco-balls. Rolled in coconut cut that night. Insane.
Our bungalow at the treehouse hostel known as the Flutterby Hostel
Communal kitchen/chill out area. Green tent is where they grow their own organic fruits/veggies.
Peter-panish pulley system devised to get supplies up & down from the room. Necessary because hands are busy climbing :)
We headed north to the surf town of Dominical. There was an all-day soccer tourney going on when we rolled up.
Avocado = Natures butter.
Chillest waves beckoning me from shore.
Our Italian friend Ms. Bongiorno spinning LED poi for an entertained crowd.
Kaisa juggling. Makes me wish I would have stuck with my yo-yo. Damn you XBOX!
Guy & I enjoying some awesome Italian version Kos Kos with our new found friends.
Then we started painting each other.
Then organic chocolate got involved.
Initial reaction = most bad-ass chocolate gecko tat in all of Costa Rica.
Underlying peril = ants LOVE chocolate...geckos.
Hands down, my best adventures have unfolded when there are no plans made to confine them. All Guy and I knew was that we were headed north. And with surf board in tow, I figured we would find some tasty waves. Little did we know we would find a great group of like minded travelers who were content with blazing their own path through the haze of wonderment that is this world.
It's easy to exceed expectations when all you desire is the open road, an open mind, and the open ocean.
